Power is sent back through a Borg Warner 5-speed transmission and the transfer case to 3.31 ratio axles. Even the under-hood light still works! There is a new master cylinder and brake booster, and along with power steering and the factory A/C compressor which sits proudly over the top of the alternator, there is a heavy-duty cooling system. It is stock and basically untouched except for good maintenance. Under the hood you will find the tried and true 258 cubic inch, in-line 6-cylinder engine. Oil pressure and voltage gauges are on the right side just above the JVC stereo. The center of the dash contains the speedometer with the ventilation controls along the left side which include those for the factory air conditioning. There is an analog clock to the left and a small tach to the right of the column. There is a leather wrapped steering wheel mounted on a tilt column that feels good in your hands. Beautiful and comfortable high back bucket seats are black with pleated seating surfaces and trimmed with silver inserts.

A door panel with a pleated upper and smooth lower vinyl panel is underlined by a carpeted bottom section. Inside you will find upscale trim along with comfort and convenience items that people today expect and which were provided back in the day with this Laredo package.
